GAMEACCOUNT LAUNCH £25,000 BLACKJACK OPEN
Big money tournament for clients of Paddy Power, Blue Square, Boylesports and Stan James
The London Blackjack Open Final
Saturday 30th January 2010
Casino at the Empire, Leicester Square, London
32 Players - 4 tables hosting head-to-head blackjack
13th November 2009 - Leading skill gaming provider GameAccount Network announce the launch of the inaugural London Blackjack Open – which culminates in a grand final at the Casino at the Empire, on London’s Leicester Square on the 30th January 2010 - where players will compete for a £10,000 first prize.
Blackjack fans on top sports betting and gaming sites Paddy Power, Blue Square, Boylesports and Stan James will compete against each other in a bid to qualify for the live, offline tournament, where a final 32 players will go head-to-head for a chance to win a chunk of the £25,000 total prize pool.
The final will be recorded live for broadcast on the Poker Channel and the internet, along with tutorial segments and player interviews. Online qualifiers begin on Saturday 14th November and will run for a total of 10 weeks. Twice-daily qualifying tournaments will take place with a weekly ‘semi-final’ – when at least two seats each week will be awarded for the London Open grand final - every Saturday until 23rd January. Further entry details and information on the daily qualifying tournaments can be found at www.gameaccount.com or on any of the participating partner sites.
“We are proud to be hosting one of the biggest blackjack tournaments of the year on behalf of some of the top names in the betting and gaming industry,” comments Per Petersen, GameAccount Marketing Director.
“Blackjack has been an ever-popular fixture in casinos but in terms of head-to-head tournament play it has always come second to poker as people perceive a lower skill aspect to the game. We have seen increasing numbers of users of GameAccount Network’s own player-to-player version of the game and we’re sure that the London Blackjack Open will be a huge success for our network partners.”

DOMINOES… CAMERA… ACTION!
CasinoRip.com launches competition to find the next generation of filmmakers and promote the traditional game
September 2009 – A competition giving amateur filmmakers the chance to direct a TV ad launches this month with submissions received by Wednesday 30th September eligible for the first monthly £500 cash prize.
Leading skill gaming site CasinoRip.com is calling for entries of between 1min and 90 seconds to be posted onto their Dominoes, Camera, Action! YouTube site. The winning film will be shown on TV and the successful auteur will also win a state-of-the-art laptop and video editing suite. Five monthly prizes of £500 cash plus CasinoRip goodies will be awarded to the best film entered each month before February 2010.
The panel of judges, including CasinoRip.com CEO Kevin Dale, will choose the best film overall soon after the competition’s closing date on 31st January 2010. It will be screened as a CasinoRip.com commissioned advert to persuade more people to take up the traditional table-top game. Films can take any form as long as they feature or use dominoes as a theme.
“We wanted to give the public a chance to demonstrate their creative talents while helping to raise the profile of a traditional game like dominoes in exciting new ways,” says CasinoRip CEO Kevin Dale. “We know there is a lot of budding talent out there and we are confident there will be plenty of interest in the competition. I can’t wait to see the films and look forward to watching the best advert on TV.”
Dominoes, despite being enjoyed throughout the world, has suffered a decrease in its popularity over the last few years, giving way to multimedia pastimes. However, CasinoRip.com’s most recent addition to their range of online skill-games,Domino Duel, has quickly become one of the site’s most popular attractions.
Check out the introductory video and rules at the competition website: www.youtube.com/dominoescameraaction. Create your film and upload it to the competition group page on www.youtube.com/group/dominoesads.
Every entrant (over-18’s only) will receive £50 of CasinoRip.com credit. After posting your film onto the group page, just sign up for a CasinoRip.com account at www.casinorip.com. BACKGAMMON’S BEST TO COMPETE FOR €200,000 PRIZE FUND IN MONTE CARLO
CasinoRip.com Monte Carlo World Backgammon Championship 2009
Sunday 12th - Sunday 19th July 2009
The Fairmont, Monte Carlo, Monaco
Friday 10th July 2009 (London, UK) The world’s top backgammon players will descend on Monte Carlo in July to take part in the prestigious CasinoRip.com Monte Carlo World Backgammon Championship. An expected total prize fund of over EUR 200,000 and the luxurious five-star setting of The Fairmont (formerly The Grand Hotel) will see the best in the world tough it out with socialites, playboys and royalty.
The glitzy week-long event will feature a special performance from backgammon fan and R&B superstar George Benson at the Gala Dinner on Tuesday 14th July. Guests will also be asked to don their fineries for the climax of the week, the glamourous prize giving ceremony and cocktail party. Entry to the Championship is EUR 1000 but players of all abilities will also be able to get a taste of the backgammon hi-life with separate tournaments for intermediates and beginners, with entry fees of EUR 400 and EUR 200 respectively.
The popularity of traditional board-games is seeing a resurgence in recent times, thanks in part to the jet-set Hollywood Dominoes event in Cannes attended by Paris Hilton and the likes of Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller proclaiming their love for backgammon. A new generation has also discovered the joys of backgammon and dominoes after more people have started to look to stay-at-home entertainment during the credit crunch.
Patti Rubin, Tournament Coordinator, comments, “We’re very pleased to be hosting the Championships for the 34th year. Once again we expect the very best players from across the world to make the trip to Monaco for what promises to be not only a fiercely contested tournament but also a fantastic social gathering in the most beautiful of locations. The event has gone from strength to strength over the years and we hope that 2009 will be better than ever.”
The 34th Monte Carlo World Championship welcomes a new sponsor for 2009, CasinoRip.com, the online skill-gaming network. CasinoRip’s CEO Kevin Dale, who is also taking part, notes “Having sponsored most of the major UK backgammon tournaments this year, we were keen to support the world’s largest competition in Monte Carlo, especially as it reflects our diverse user base of online players from more than 100 countries. With the cream of the international circuit attending, however, I don’t personally expect to win too many games!”

WICKED WILLIE MAKES RETURN IN WEB GAME
Friday 19th June 2009 (London, UK) Iconic cartoon Wicked Willie is to make a comeback in a new game by CasinoRip.com, twenty-five years since he first assaulted public decency in the mid-eighties.
The famous phallus will star in leading skill-gaming site CasinoRip’s new multiline slots game, launched today. Ten different Willie cartoons will replace the fruit symbols of the traditional slots game, while Horoscope Willie will change throughout the year to coincide with the symbols of the astrological calendar. Punters will also get to see seasonal representations of Wicked Willie throughout the year to celebrate events like Christmas and St. Valentine’s day and over the next few weeks he’ll be seen cheering on teams in the Champions League Final and as a jockey for Royal Ascot.
“We’ve had Wicked Willie merchandising before, but this is the first time he will feature in his own game,” says Gray Joliffe, creator and illustrator of Wicked Willie. “The cartoons were hugely popular all over the World and it’s fantastic that CasinoRip are helping to bring him back. He’s as cheeky as ever and I’m looking forward to having him back in my life!”
Illustrator and cartoonist Gray Jolliffe and collaborator Peter Mayle (who went on to write A Year In Provence) shocked and amused in equal measure with the release of their first Wicked Willie book, Man's Best Friend: Introducing Wicked Willie in the Title Role, in 1984. The character appeared in numerous books and videos throughout the eighties and early-nineties and sold over 3million books worldwide. Willie’s last book, Wicked Willie: Reloaded, appeared in 2004. Gray still illustrates and has a regular cartoon strip in the Daily Mail.
“We are proud to be resurrecting a legend like Wicked Willie,” comments Kevin Dale, CasinoRip.com CEO. “Many of us were tickled pink by the books a couple of decades ago and we thought Willie would be the perfect star for a new game. We think he’ll once again catch the imagination and raise a smile among a new audience.”

Uli Koch crowned London Open Champion
Monday June 8th 2009 German Uli Koch was crowned the first ever CasinoRip.com London Open Backgammon Champion last Sunday (31st May), beating Julian Fetterlein in a tense final.
Professional player Koch is one of the most respected and successful players in the world and has won many tournaments since he first started playing backgammon in the 1970’s. He battled through several rounds to eventually meet Fetterlein, another well known name on the circuit who has previously tasted success.
The event was an unprecedented success and attracted a high quality of competitors, with players from as far afield as Japan, Romania and the United States competing in the 56-strong Championship flight. A further 30 players participated in the intermediate and casual competitions and the total prize fund exceeded £12,000. The tournament was played out in the glorious London sunshine overlooking the Thames and some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Mike Main, Director of Backgammon in London, the organisers of the event said, “The quality of play and a gorgeous setting made it a truly fantastic weekend and produced one of the most exciting events I can remember. LADS MAG FAVOURITE STRIPS
IN NEW WEB CARD GAME
Monday 22nd December 2008 (London, UK) Hot new glamour girl Emma Frain reveals more than just her hand in a saucy internet version of casino-style blackjack – and is set to get web users hot under the collar this week.
‘StripJack’, an interactive flash game created by leading skill gaming site CasinoRip.com, pits the lucky player against gorgeous Emma as she peels off items of clothing for every round she loses. It mirrors the real game on the site where players compete not against the house but against each other. Those who wish to see a little more will be able to ‘raise the stakes’ with access to a triple-X, not safe for work version when they sign up for free with CasinoRip.com.
Try the game here: http://casinoripstripjack.com
CasinoRip has been creating innovative skill games to play for free and for money since 2002, but this is the first time they have tried to directly appeal to the lads market with a risqué move into strip games. Emma is one of the most in-demand glamour models in the UK, thanks to regular appearances in lads weekly magazine Zoo and a recent bare-all shoot for rivals Nuts. The twenty year-old from Stoke is also enjoying a rising profile among the internet community - a previous viral, a cheeky video clip showing her playing a Wii Fit hula-hoop game topless, has been watched by tens of thousands of viewers on YouTube and elsewhere.
“I know lots of people look at me when I pose for magazines, but this felt like I was actually playing blackjack with them. It was good fun,” says Emma on starring in the game. “I have played strip poker a few times in real life but I’m not very good at cards - it’s a good job I’m not shy.”
“I’m sure that hot blooded males across the country will be turning off their email filters in droves when they get wind of this,” comments Ben Walton, CasinoRip.com spokesperson. “You usually aim for 21 to win a game of blackjack, but now I reckon most will just be hoping to see a pair of aces!”

FALLING FOR DOMINOES
£50,000 a week gambled on CasinoRip’s new online classic game
Tuesday 28th October 2008 (London, UK) – The enduring popularity of dominoes appears to have reached the internet generation as CasinoRip, the leading skill gaming website, reveals that almost half-a-million pounds has been staked on their new dominoes game in just two months since its launch.
The total wagered on ‘Domino Duel’, which only launched in September, is just over £425,000, or about £50,000 per week. Over 125,000 real money games have been played as thrill-seeking gamers are turning to the age-old favourite as an alternative to traditional casino games like poker and slots. The simple game of skill and chance has been given a modern makeover by CasinoRip and it has quickly become the third most popular person-to-person game on their site.
“It’s great to see a traditional game like dominoes making such a comeback,” says CasinoRip CEO Kevin Dale. “We know that dominoes is a hugely popular game throughout the world, but the speed at which people have taken to it is remarkable.”

Monday 20th October 2008 – Leading skill gaming site CasinoRip.com today launch a revolutionary slots game based on traditional poker and three-card brag scoring. ‘O’ FOR OCTOBER
Leading Blackjack site will add a zero to the value of a customer’s account every day in October
Thursday 2nd October 2008 (London, UK) – CasinoRip.com continued to ‘rip up’ casino convention yesterday by launching an exciting new promotion for the entire month of October. Every day they will add a zero to the value of one lucky customer's account, so if you've got £100 in your account then it could become £1,000. One lucky winner has already been randomly selected, but there are still 30 more days left.
“We wanted to do something a little different,” says CasinoRip spokesperson Ben Walton. “With millions being wiped off the value of shares at the moment, we thought it would make a nice change adding a zero rather than removing one!”
The Rules
- To qualify customers must have staked at least £10 on the previous day.
- A client will be selected at 10am each day and have a 0 added to their account (cash balance only).
- The client must have started spending the money by 10am the following day.
- The bonus can be used to play any of CasinoRip.com’s games or tournaments.
